Hungry looking for some deer, boar, horse or human for dinner, Shrike enjoyed her flight above the jungles somewhere in central-america this early morning.
Okay, she resurrected the old Mayan legends of Quetzalcoatl during her hunts and it was not easy to seize prey in the dense woods, but it was far more safe than hunting in the city.

Technical side:

Done in Widescreen (16:10) for use as a desktop-background.
My first work done in Vue 9 Studio. Render-time was only 8h, 20min. in 5000x3125 pixel. Shrike (the Wyvern) was imported from DAZ-Studio 3. Only very minor post-production done in PSP X.
Vue 9 Studio and the "EcoPainter"-module extension for it was one of my most expensive art-tools investments this year, but it's really worth every cent! I use Vue since only 3 days, but it has a very intuitive interface and the basics are easy to learn.

Thanks! It was my first render done in Vue that was worth to upload it here at DA. The fog is only some clouds "layed" on the ground.

Yes, it's my little Shrike. Cute, isn't it? Sometimes she eats vegetables and fruits too... but only when she ripped out and devoured the stomachs of her prey who had eaten greens first ;-)

Not every time. It's a hard hunt for her in such dense forests. Just the other day i read in "Monster's Monthly" something about a insane guy who was found in the jungle with some deep and serious injuries on his back, stammering something confuse stuff about Quetzalcoatl... luckily nobody believed him, but the injuries fit damn exactly to Shrikes talons...
Guess, he had shared a better fate when Shrike would had got him: He escaped Shrike, but ended up in the local Asylum instead ;-)

Right down my alley and you get that from my stories or what
I did put up information about Quetzalcoatl in the "LOOK INTO
THE MAYANS" and yeah you should read about it..as I have put
two parts so far and plan to put even more into the story....

So hows my German friend doing..whats up with Sucuriju....no
new stories of late??

Yes, a little bit late, but one work of the Sucuriju-series is already in post-production for submitting it this month too. I don't want to spoil too much, but it will be a work without Sucuriju but with a Damsel in distress... And we will see that missing a tasty morsel saved Sucurijus scaly ass this time ;-)
Purchasing Vue 9 cropped up a little bit in my usual workflow: New software and new things to learn, but it will open new possibilities too, especially in creating Sucurijus jungle.
