Description

The manager of the jungle-hotel was angry. Only a week ago he bought a watchdog named Hector, a expensive doberman, to protect the hotel-area, but now it was missed...
Missed... he won't want to hear this damn word again since the disappearing of Jennifer Langley... but than he heared something about a famous photomodel, that disappeared a month ago too... only a few kilometers away from his hotel.
He remembered the photo that was shot by a security-camera of the hotel and what it had depicted. Was it this mysterious beast? But the new doberman was a very well trained watchdog... and when this beast killed his new dog...? The whole thing turned slowly to something serious to worry about...!

Only a month ago Sucuriju killed large prey... Naomi Carleton, a famous supermodel... but for the giant serpent she was only a good meal and now completely digested, so Sucuriju was not very hungry now and not on the hunt.
But the reptile let not passing a good chance by... and as he swam across the river, he detected this dog, standing in the water and snarling on him... slowly Sucuriju approached the doberman... and Hector was able to saw only the snake's head emerged out of the water... only this small looking head... a unknown, but small animal for the watchdog and surely not a opponent for a doberman, that weight almost 40 Kg...
The poor dog did not saw the well camouflaged and submerged part of Sucuriju in the waves and reflections of the water... 200 Kg of massive sinews and muscles!
On the last few meters Sucuriju increased his speed and hit the snarling dog like a torpedo and when he seized Hector's head with his fangs, the victim's snarling turned into a surprised and fearful howling... but only for a second. It was silenced instantly as he dragged the dog violently into the deeper water, and with a fast turning over and a constricting coil around the chest he crushed the doberman's rips... a second coil followed around the victims neck... it was over in less than 30 seconds for Hector.

The dog disappeared in Sucurijus throad in 15 minutes. It was a welcome but small snack... in two or three months the serpent will hunt on larger prey again...!

Yes, my scaly darling prey on anything that he was able to overpower. This was the next work of my Sucuriju-series. A little "cliffhanger", not one of the big hunts (on two-legged prey) of my large friend...!
It was inspired by a annoying dog in my nighborhood... yes, a doberman called Hector. He barking all the day without a reason. How many times i wished to kill this annoying dog... In the reality it was not allowed to do so, but in the virtual world, i give this tiresome dog his deserved end now! ;-)

Technical side:

Done in DAZ 3D and PSP X again. This turned out different as planned again, because i get a unexpected effect during the first testrenderings. First it was planned, to set the virtual camera near the dog to get a point of view (POV) from the dogs position... but something surprising happened in the first testrenderings... Sucurijus's submerged body get nearly invisible in the water from this POV. All other objects below the water-surface remained still well visible.
First i thought, something is wrong with my new render-engine and/or my settings of the water, the ground, Sucuriju, the lights, shaders etc... but actually all was allright, the render-engine did exactly that, what it shall do to generate realistic looking results...
And my selfmade UV-map of Sucuriju did exactly what it shall do in reality too: Camouflaging this scaly predator in the water!
My UV-map of Sucuriju worked so frightening well, that every change of the light-settings etc. did not change the results significantly. Sucuriju remained well camouflaged in the color, waves and reflections of the water. Only his emerged head was well visible (see 'Camouflage' in my srap-folder)... this is that, what the poor dog had saw, just before his end...! He had saw only the serpents head... and not the part, that was submerged.
So i changed the camera-position to a a different POV behind Sucuriju, and here i found a point, where the snake's body is (with the help of a little, shadowless spotlight below the water-surface) better visible... for you, but not for the stupid dog! ;-)
