So it frequently has new information, but may not be worth your time unless you are hopelessly lost in Sucurijus jungle or you are a agent of some great Hollywood-studio looking for a new story to turn into a movie


Sucuriju background-infos:

I am a SF- and monster-movie-fan and Sucuriju is my favorite ID-Monster. The idea of the ID-Monster based on the classic SF-movie "Forbidden Planet", where a giant machine turns all ideas and dreams instantly to reality. But the ideas of our subconsciousness too. So the alien race of the Krell, which invented this machine, were destroyed by it's own monsters from their subconsciousness that turned into reality.
Most people fear or hate snakes and spiders... i count myself to the minority who like both species. But i like all the monster-movies, which play with this usual fearing of snakes and spiders in exaggerated ways too.

So Sucuriju was born from my own subconsciousness, he/she/it araised from the darkest areas of my own ID and he is a part of me, my "virtual Mr. Hide", if you wanna call it so. Not caring or asking for good or evil, nor for courage or cowardice, nor for yesterday or tomorrow... only following the most primitive needs to survive, avoiding dangers but hunting and killing greedy and mercyless, regardess what kind of prey he hunt... animal or human, rich or poor, sinner or innocent, black or white... what can be overpowered, killed and devoured is food for him when he is hungry! He feel a primitve satisfaction when his prey is struggling and dying in the embrace of his dreadful coils and he loves the smell and taste of fear and horror... It's my depiction of the utmost primitve and suppressed ID-monster that lurked in my own mind!
And as my DA-name "ancestorsrelic" is just a anagram of my real name, Sucuriju seems to be just a kind of anagram of the dark side of my own subconsciousness. So i choosed Sucuriju for my DA-avatar too.

I build (and unleashed from my ID) Sucuriju in March 2008, he is an extensive modifying/rebuild of the free model of the DAZ-Python and is inspired by the movie "Anaconda" (1997) too. His name based on the "Sucuriju Gigante", a mythical super-giant snake that shall become up to 50 or even 100 feet long. Some says, Sucuriju Gigante is the monstrous version of a green anaconda or a boa constrictor.... or something totally different. The first work introducing Sucuriju was 'Slithering Terror'. and i payed attention to exaggerate Sucuriju not too much. IMHO the primary error that they do in the movie "Anaconda" was the too extreme and unbelievable exaggeration of a lot of things.

"Slithering Terror" was planned only as a single-work with a little horror/monster-story... but then the things started to run wild. My own ID-monster was unleashed now!

Further works, inspired by the works of other artists here on DA too, followed, and the beast gets his name, a personality, we take some looks through his eyes. It was not longer only an exaggerated depicted green anaconda for use in one single monster-artwork... it developed his own life with his own background! And in contrary to almost all monster-movies, i made my monster to the hero of his stories... in spite of that Sucuriju do all the cruel things that movie-monsters usally do... especially eating people Since my childhood i rooted almost every time for the monsters in such movies. Yes, i was sad when King Kong, Godzilla and Tarantula get killed. Here i have a childish heart that never grew up... i was sad even as an adult, as the poor Anaconda in "Anaconda" or the Kothoga in "The Relic" get burned and blowed up too

And always remember: All my works depicting nothing real! All works are totally exaggerated in the tradition of the classic and modern monster-movies to play around a little bit with our deepest fears and Sucuriju was build with the intention to correspond to all known and usual cliches about giant snakes too. In reality anacondas, boa constrictors or pythons don't eat people... or at least extreme rarely. You got rather hit by an meteorite from space than get eaten by a real anaconda in the brazilian jungle...

Gender: Unknown. Even if Sucuriju called "He", he is probably female, because his large size indicates that: Female anacondas can grow up to three times larger than the male one.

Unknown human victims: 4 or 5 further people vanished during the last years. According to offical sources they had leaved the village. But inoffical rumors says, they probably went down Sucurijus gullet too.
Hunting methods: Lurking and ambushing by surprising strikes from behind thickets, near the riverbank striking out of the water and in the water. Sucuriju is a very good swimmer wich can dive up to 45 minutes. The prey was seized with the fangs (often in the heads or muzzles when he hunt animals, but in legs or arms when he prey on humans), dragged with a jerk from the feet and swiftly pulled into the range of the waiting coils. In the water Sucuriju ensnares his prey in a series of swift rollovers.
Prey detecting: Smell (parfumes, sweat, deodorant, new clothes etc.), vibrations of the ground. On short distances sight.
Overpowering and killing of prey: Partially by suffocating. Whenever the victim exhaled, Sucuriju tighten his coils so it cannot inhale again, but the death comes finally by the constricting with extreme high pressure in the last act that interrupts the blood circulation and can even breaking sometimes the rips or destroy inner organs, veins and arteries. Takes very short time. A damsel of 60 Kg up to 70 Kg weight loss his consciousness in Sucurijus coils in approx. 2 minutes... after 3-5 further minutes the wriggling and trembling of the body stops together with the heart beat of the victim in a last spasm or shudder of the body. In the water he kills not only by constriction, but by drowning his victim too and for his prey the death comes useally much faster, in 1 or 2 minutes, in the water.
Eating: Prey was devoured in whole, usally head first. It takes approx. 15 minutes for a dog, 30 min. for a calf, one hour for a damsel, and for a man 1.5 to 2 hours to get devoured.
Digesting: Very fast, the digestive system dissolves flesh, bones, teeth, skin, hair (and even leather- wooven- and cotton-clothing) in 2-3 days to a kind of "pulp" that was transported to the intestine, nevertheless, this fast digestion costs already the half of the energy, that a victim provide.
Prey requirement: Only all 1-2 months a capybara, a calf, a goat, or all 3-4 months a damsel, in harder times even all 6-9 months is still sufficent. In emergencies Sucuriju can starving up to one year.
Known problems: Indigestible things, (especially in Sucuriju's prefered damsel-diet) like plastic shoes, belt-buckles, jewelry, synthetic filaments caused the predator sometimes problems, and if this things cannot leave Sucuriju on the normal way, he must regurgitate it after a few days.
Misc.: Worshipped as the god of the river and the jungle by some native tribes. Some tribes even sacrifying maidens to him.


The Sucuriju-series:

Slithering Terror, was the first work, in wich we witnessed Jennifers cruel end... it was only a single monster/horror-picture with a little single-story to test the capabilities of my new 3D-constrict... err.. construction and nothing more was originally planned by me... but already in Slithering Terror - CloseUp it's started do develop to something... we get a more detailed view trough the eyes of the giant snake and how he saw the hunt on Jennifer.

In the second work, Sucuriju, we went back in time before Jennifers end in "Slithering Terror" and saw how the serpent hunted down his first human victim...This time it was not a poor, innocent woman, but a guy who get what he deserved! And the beast, former called GA V1.0, get's his name, a personality and we get some infos how the natives thought about this reptile.

The third one, Nightwatch, was a little cliffhanger without mature content... the first two people saw a glimpse of that, what is lurking in the jungle... But they told nothing about it to others and destroyed all evidence for a good reason.

The fourth, Duel, was a little bit more. With Naomi Carleton Sucuriju hunt down someone very rich and famous and turned the poor supermodel to nothing more than reptile food in his coils.

The fifth one, Snarling Snack, was a little cliffhanger without mature content again, in wich our scaly friend show us his perfect camouflage in the water and how he ambushed a dumb dog as a little snack.

The sixth, Prey, show us, that the ancient reptile's god world is in change and how Sucuriju devouring his victims... another poor girl, Christine Van Dyke, ended up in the serpents deadly embrace and take a one-way trip down a wet and narrow tube.... but already after the disappearing of Naomi Carleton the police finally noticed, that something strange must going on with all this missed people and finally Christine's disappearing was not without a trace...

In the seventh work, Tommygunned, Sucuriju was traced down and get in seriuos troubles. It seems, this is the end of our mean green ladykiller...

In Tighter than any Lover, the eight work, Sucuriju made a involuntary trip to the outskirts of a big town. A poor little whore, Conchita Alvarez, encountered him...

In the ninth work The Day After i allowed Sucuriju a little break after all his adventures. Contented and fed up he enjoyed the sunrise... together with Conchita Alvarez, wich he had took with him...

In the tenth work, Asian Food, Sucuriju returned to his old hunting-ground and found his larder well stocked up. And to welcome him back, he was invited to an tasty Chinese dinner.

In the eleventh work, Owned, we meet Li Song from "Asian Food" again. She was invited by Sucuriju to a romantic dinner in the evening... and Miss Song wasn't able to refuse Sucurijus invitation.

Missing Li Song, the twelfth work, closes the little series (that was started with "Asian Food" and "Owned") about Li Songs fate and show a poster of the search that was started after Miss Songs mysterious disappearing. It was futile, because Sucuriju digest flesh, bones, hair, teeth... so nothing of Li Song was ever offically found.

In the thirteenth work, Before their Eyes, three young girls started a happy rafting-tour on the river... They did not knewed, that her boat was like a swimming dish, filled with good, fresh, tasty food for our scaly friend. But Sucuriju was not too greedy... he pulled only one of the damsels as his breakfast out of the boat... and let the other two left as eye-witnesses... It was clear now: Sucuriju was alive and he was back...!

Sucuriju starts to get in serious troubles again, because in the fourteenth work, Close Encounter, he became the hunted. Ashara Mbashe, a big game huntress, saw in Sucuriju a new trophy and started her hunt on him. After the first encounter of Ashara and Sucuriju both are a little bit unsure about what happened... and what may happens next...

In Eye to Eye the fifteenth work of the Sucuriju-series, our scaly friend expect easy prey but slithered into Asharas deadly trap instead! Sucuriju stroke two times... and missed two times... Ashara stroke two times... and hit two times... Sucuriju was wounded and forced to retreat again... far away from the river, far away from the water... and Ashara would pursuit and kill him! The odds turned against our scaly friend again!

In Outwitted, the sixteenth work, Sucuriju was lured by Ashara far away from the river and it seems only a matter of a few minutes, and Ashara would kill him and take his head and skin.
Ashara had checked out in weeks of exploration Sucurijus hunting-ground and knewed the environment as almost good as him now. But the jungle can change his face in days or even hours. And Sucuriju knewed this changings too. And a little hole in the ground get changed temporarely after a heavy rain and Sucuriju knewed this temporary changing... Ashara not!

Ashara had planned to make a unusal paperweight out of Sucurijus skull after he killed him... Tides turned in the fight, and in Crushed, the 17th work, it's the time to take a look at that, what Sucuriju had made out of Ashara... and after Sucuriju had finished with her, she did not look like a sleeping beauty anymore...

After the mess, that had Sucuriju done on Ashara, he had to clean up afterwarts... and he do it in his own, typical way... The last 2 feet is the 18th work of the Sucuriju-series and the last work of the "Ashara series" and we can take a a last look on the famous big game huntress before she starts her last journey through the hungry serpents stomach and intestines...

In the 19th work, The Enemy Below, we took a little look back into Sucurijus childhood and how he had learned to hunt on monkeys when he was only about 2 meters long...

In the 20th work, Bride of the Monster, we saw another flashback in Sucurijus life. At this time, Sucuriju was still very young, about only 6.5 meters long... and with Kalana he had only made one experience with human prey before... but now we will see what is true about the rumors that some tribes sacrify maidens to the god of the river...
