Violin case for Tommy Gun by ancestorsrelic Violin case for Tommy Gun by ancestorsrelic
I build this case for my Thompson Submachine Gun in 2006. In reality it was only a urban legend, that the gangsters of the 1920s and 1930s carried their "Chicago Typewriters" in modified violin cases, but i thought, it was a damn cool urban legend and so i tried to build such a case for "Nagaina II", my own Thompson Submachine Gun Mod. 1928A1.
I bought the old, used violin case at eBay for a few euros and rebuild it with some wood-pieces and green felt to my desired Tommy Gun-case. In the area for the compartment for the vertical foregrip the woodworms had already damaged the violin-case and i had to strengthen it there with some wood. The result is the a little bit weird shape of this compartment.
As you can see, the case is not really suitable for a fast draw and fire on your enemies as it was shown in many movies. The gun fit only in with removed buttstock and vertcal foregrip.

Material: Old violin case, stripped down and new build up with small wood-boards, hot gluesticks, green felt and wood-glue.

hmmm prettyu awsomethe only advice i could possibly give is to use red velvet next time. the medical scrubs green isent as menasing or classy. however this is still awsome. the compartments r pretty cool. thow im not shore how the rear bit and the clip r holding in there.

Yes, i would say, red velvet would look better. Lets see, i will try to found something in red for my next try (this one is already sold). The buttstock and magazine didn't had any special holdings. In the last pic there is a loose part of felt, that was laid over the gun, the buttstock and drum magazine was simply laid on it now, and the case closed. All remains in place when closed.
