WIP: Temple of Sucuriju

Description

Another new 3D-modeling job for the Sucuriju-series: The lost Temple of Sucuriju. WIP in an early stage. I have already the "Palenque Ruins" from DAZ3D and at Cornucopia.com is an "Temple of the Snake" for Vue available too, but both did not fit my expectations for the ongoing of the Sucuriju-Series, so i was forced again to model something suitable myself.

More of the background and story of the Temple will follow later when the model is finished and in the Sucuriju-series. Then will it be available as a freebie here at DA, sharecg.com and Renderosity too.

And yes, the Temple is used to sacrifice poor maidens to the ever hungry snake-deity of the amazon :evillaugh:

Updated picture, Feb. 6, 2011: The work is going on. I changed the snake-sculptures on the stairway, because in the first version i used the imported and modified mesh of the DAZ-Python, and giving away the mesh of a object bought at DAZ3D is an infringement of copyright laws. So i had to model my own snake-sculpture in Aztec/Mayan-design. Think, the result looks even better than a modified DAZ-Python.

Hi Ancestor! I have an important question for you. Where exactly do all Sucuriju's adventures take place? I am supposing it's Brazil as the word Sucuri (Sucurijuba, Sucuriju, it's all the same and means the one that bites fast) come from the Tupi-Guarani language (a language from Brazilian natives). Curiously the Tupi-Guarani lived at the cost and to the south but the word probably got spread through the country as colonization progressed. Depending on your answer, I will make my comments. Hey! being brazilian myself I feel I have to defend some cultural aspects, right?
