Big Cat-Tongue for DAZ MilBigCat by ancestorsrelic Big Cat-Tongue for DAZ MilBigCat by ancestorsrelic
After the unexpected success of my little Snake Tongue add-on for the DAZ Morphing Python and other 3D-creatures i modeled a similar add-on for the DAZ Millennium Big Cat too. As the DAZ Python the DAZ MilBigCat comes with the same flaw too: Only with a little build in-tongue with very restricted morphs that can't do much movements nor even realistic licking or yawning.

The Big Cat-Tongue is a little helper in the shape of an independent, rigged character for your runtime. More infos are in the "readme.pdf" that comes with the ZIP-file.

This little add-on is mainly made for use in DAZ-Studio 4 and higher, because you may need to add a "Smoothing Modifier" to remove some little distortions from the tongue.
The "Smoothing Modifier" of DS 4 and higher is a powerful tool but well hidden. ~shaungsimpson made a useful tutorial how to find and using it: fav.me/d59qfj0
Once you have experienced the possibilities of this versatile tool you would probably use it over and over again (it's a  very effective "weapon" to fight poke-throughs too).

It works in older versions of DAZ-Studio too, but without the smoothing-modifier. It works in Poser too, but with much more edgy distortions than in DAZ-Studio.

Update Dec. 2013: And it works for the brand new DAZ BigCat 2 too, of course! The new Cat comes already with a rigged tongue (contrary to the restricted tongue-morphs of the old MilBigCat), but it's still a usable add-on for the new kitty too when it comes to yawning etc.

Looks great on Big Cats 2 too, saved me from that awful default tongue
Once again thank you for your generosity, I knew I'll find a good use for this one :aww:

Glad you like it! :-) I bought the new BigCat 2 too a few weeks ago, but did not used it yet. The new model comes finally with a rigged tongue as i found out during my first playing around with the cats, but i think, for yawning, licking etc. my little tongue add-on can be useful for the new cat too.

I had some troubles with how the default tongue looked,
too plastic (at least in DAZ) and not enough details, but
it sure is rigged well and still posable  Yours was easier to
get a hold on and I already played with it before so I had my freedom with it.

And shh, but yours still has better texture details and is more realistic

I ofcourse manually sticked it inside the cats mouth, hid the default one
and parented the prop as it is, if it's of help for anyone's work flow :)

Thanks again for making my work easier

wow, the texture is amazing on this. who would have thought i would get so lucky to find a artist that rendered a 3d tongue for big cat- especialy one that looks well detailed. I could only imagine how the interior of the big cat mouths look when you are finished. i hope you are open for some commissioning. i need some support for a hand crafted macro sized liger plushie that is being designed. I figure i'd ask a 3d artist who has experience with this type of art style especially in the category of vore. if you have time and are interested let me know and i'll message you a note that is more descriptive.

I must admit that i have only some humble experience in 3D-modeling and no experience with modeling in the "real  3D-world" with clay, foam, plush etc.  3D-modeling is a little bit easier in this case: Hit the undo-button and try it again if something did not work/look like it was intended ;-) So i am not sure if i can really help you... By the way: Your Snow Leopard maw looks freaking awesome! :eyepopping:

The MilBigCat ( www.daz3d.com/wild/millennium-… ) i used for my "kitbashing" is an older 3D-model and has some flaws that i try to correct. Beside the build-in tongue with tis restricted morphs the inner mouth do not look very detailed and i tried a lot with different matrial-setting, reflection, refraction bump- and displacement-maps to made it looking a little bit better. Another thing i do from time to time is to try to "tune" a little bit the capabilities of movements like that one: fav.me/d63p8jj

ich danke dir fuer das komplement. wo aus deutschland kommen sie? ich wohnne zu zeit in den Rheinland pfalz in Kaiserslautern. I'm still new to learning german. but, anyways I do have one 3d artist who is designing me some series for this vore plush concept. I'm sure you are familiar with the artist pwrof3d.deviantart.com/ He is rendering me the 3D concepts right now to help provide a visual for my design. He also is using the models off of daz 3D site. here are some renders from him so far, but as you can tell the tongue is not as fine textured as the one you created. so i have two avenues i can take here: 1st is politely ask with your permission if Pwrof3D may use your 3D big cat tongue render file (If it's compatible with which ever program he's using). 2nd is see if i can get him to send you the rendered files he has and perhaps if you are willing you can toy around with adding the tongue.

This project that is undergoing  is deffiently a milestone that will break away from fantasy into a reality. The snow leopard was intended to be a prototype, and now this prototype is going to be closest thing folks can get to when it comes to the fantasy realms of vore. soft vore that is. The more hands that i can possibly get involved on this the better. Right now i have the main crafts man, a fabric specialist, and one 3D artist. So the closer i can get a more descriptive point of view for this project the better.

I can deffiently see this being a interet up any artists alley, especially in the vore community.

I came from Buxtehude (some still think, this town is a fake, but it really exists, about 30 KM south of Hamburg) in Lower Saxony.
And yes, sure you can use my 3D-models for whatever you want... They are published under Creative Commons BY-SA... download it, modify it, sell it, mix it... the only "restriction" of CC BY-SA ist, that it has to stay free for everyone.
To be honest, i am a lazy lizard ;-) I try to find and buy suitable 3D-stuff to reach my goals and when i don't find it, i must move my lazy ass an model/texture/rig it by myself. I am not one of this self proclaimed 3D-elitists from the CGSociety who claim everything has to be modeled from scratch using $3000-and-more Software and otherwise it's unworthy... The result counts for me, not the tools i use.
The atmosphere in the world of the Poser/DAZ-artists is way better... much of them made freebies for others and i too a lot of this pool in my beginning... when i started to model own stuff i made i available for free for others (and don't sell every small model at Turbosquid for $300 or more ;-) ) to put something back into the pool too.

I don't know, if a Leopard wouild fit into the idea of soft vore... For me it depends all on a biological believable and realistic acting of the involved beast, and a Leo's claws and teeth are clearly made for ripping flesh and crushing bones the hard way... So a big cat would turning out that way fav.me/d55brgz for me all the time :plotting:
That didn't mean, i prefer only hard vore, but it must be biological believable for me. This beast: fav.me/d6b2tlh works more on the soft side, for example :evillaugh:  For my own works i prefer the therm degenerated art "creature feature" instead of vore, but mostly it was put into the "vore-folder" by my visitors;-)

Stonemason is a part of the CGSociety though and he sells a lot of his stuff on DAZ  o3o

Just pointing out not everyone on that site is an elitist jerk :3

Yes, not all there are elitists... but unfortunately the "asshole-density" seems to be very high there... I visited the page long time ago, read a lot of arrogant posts in the message-boards... and get out there as fast as possible ;-)

People are like that everywhere, and the "Big" groups tend to attract folks like that. There was a Lighting and Rendering challenge sub-forum over there that allowed any and all programs to enter - There were even Poser and Carrara renders mixed in with game engine renders like UNITY and CryEngine, along with the usual suspects such as Maya and Max.  Blender and C4D based renders popped up a lot as well.

But yeah, CGSociety as a whole isn't a bad place, but there are some folks there (As with here) that aren't too friendly to Poser/DS artists (Srsly, there's a group here that literally states "We're anti-poser artists" >_>)

I can't remember if it was 3DWorld, or ImagineFX, but one of them had a copy of D|S Advanced with it and a collection of their "Starter" models - and they talked quite highly of it. Not perfect, but still said it was a good program and an excellent way to introduce yourself to the 3D world. Poser's very popular with Lightwave artists and NewTek (The developer) recommended Poser in combination with their software.
So I wouldn't say all the big names in 3D look down on Poser/D|S, just some individual users ^^

(Also, I tend to avoid general-purpose Message Boards since harsh talk like that springs up all the time ^^; )

Ich find das voll gut :D Muss demnächst mal eingebaut werden, denn z.B. Tiger ziehen ja ihrem Opfer mit der Zunge die Haut ab.
Kommt gut in Kombination mit LAMH.

Hey... Woher weisst Du denn jetzt schon wieder, was in Level 5 abgehen wird...
